The Israel Museum Store
Concept: The basic infrastructural “box” of the Museum Store was to remain intact as it was part of the museum’s architectural conservation efforts during the complex renewal process. The interior space’s architect designed custom-made, modular furniture which required an integral lighting design to accompany this new look.
Challenge: Successfully highlight the different products throughout the store without altering the original lighting layout.
Solution: RTLD’s architectural lighting plan used linear LED lighting for the custom-made modular furniture. Customized fluorescent light fixtures were implemented to provide appropriate lighting for the book and poster sections of the store.
